To start with, Mr. Vice President, in spite of your Irish origins (more about your beloved Irish Mama and her trees in Palestine, later) and in spite of being a ‘fan’ of him, you have misquoted Yeats. What the famous Irish poet actually said was,

“Too long a sacrifice can make a stone of the heart”

Yeats said “sacrifice” not “suffering” Mr. Biden, and there is a heck of difference between the two.

Not least is that, while ‘sacrifice’ is a willful act by the party involved, ‘suffering’ may be willful in some cases but it is mostly brought on by others. So, while the Jews may well have ‘suffered’ needlessly or otherwise in their ‘incredible journey’ to building their Yad Vashem on stolen Palestinian land, to say that the Jews have ‘sacrificed’ will beg the question: what, or whom did the Jews actually ‘sacrifice’?….and the obvious answer will be of course, the Palestinian People, …and that is not exactly what you wanted to allude to, was it? So you willfully or otherwise, have bent the Irish poet’s words.

And, Joe, about these trees which your 30-years long friend Netanyahu said that ‘they’ planted in honor of your beloved Mama who ‘watered’ your love to Israel and who was ‘proudest’ of you when you were ‘working with and for the security’ of Israel-  please Mr. Biden take a look at these old Palestinian mothers and grandmothers who watered their trees since their childhood with their own love and care for years and years, only to see them uprooted and destroyed under force of arms by your ‘friends’, who in turn saw it fit to ‘sacrifice’ the Palestinian trees so that Biden’s beloved  Mama’s trees may flourish in their place.

I beg to differ Mr. Vice President: Israel is the living embodiment of the Irish Poet’s words, and his words ring so true if not in Israel then all over Palestine. There is a limit to what a people can sacrifice and still remain human, and your friends know this only too well, hence they have you and everyone else in your administration and half the leaders of this planet working round the clock ‘with’ and ‘for’ their ‘security’.  

Your beloved Mama may rest assured that you still have a long way for her to become even more proud of you.

That’s the bottom line of Avatar.

That’s also the story of Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and soon, Iran.

On April 3^rd, 2002 the Jewish  ’Army of Saints’  had a go at the city of Jenin in Palestine. Having lost 23 of their ‘saints’ in the attack they went blood-mad and completely bulldozed part of the refugee camp burying the refugees under the rubble, in what has become to be known in Palestinian history as the “Jenin Massacre”.

The film “Jenin Jenin” directed by the Palestinian Mohammad Al-Bakri tells the story of this chapter of Zionist war crimes against the Palestinian population under occupation. The producer of the film, Ayman Samoudi was killed by Israeli soldiers, shortly after work on the film ended.

After watching “Avatar” the other day, the ‘home-tree’ idea gave me a strong ‘de ja vue’ feeling and it was not just the strong connection between the ‘Navi’ being uprooted by brute force same as the Palestinians, but also the image of the ‘home-tree’.

Then I found it in “Jenin Jenin”, in the clips below.

I strongly doubt that James Cameron ever watched “Jenin Jenin” but the similarity of the imagery is  very strong.

Ridiculous?

No, not really.

The Saintly Army of the Jewish State, in an ‘improved protocol’ has decided to give Palestinians ‘more accurate details’ prior to aerial strikes, including escape routes. This is not only in order to,

“help residents of the area to be hit that are not involved in terror activity flee”

but also,

“ in the interest of the military, in light of the harsh waves of international criticism against its actions in the Strip and threats to open international legal proceeds for alleged war crimes.”

 This decision, we are informed,

was made, and approved by the military’s highest ranking officials, to allow Palestinians to receive more accurate information on upcoming strikes.

 What the Army of Jewish Saints humbly does not inform us about, is the sheer amount of effort that has gone into research in order to produce this ‘protocol’ and to get it approved by no less than the ‘highest ranking officials’.

It is easy to miss the very subtle point in this, but any reasonable person can get it with a little bit of contemplation.

It is imperative in this situation to get the timing right, right?

Assume that a couple of really nasty terror activists –big, real real nasty hairy yellow-teethed hard of hearing  macaroni eating ones- will be meeting in the vicinity of Mr. Dyab’s home and it is a golden opportunity for the IDF / IAF to make this world a better place by taking out  these nasties.  If the army gives the warning too early, there is a good chance that the devils will get wind of it and will beat it; if the warning is given too late then Mr. Dyab and his family are as good as one lump of burnt up flesh and smashed bones.

But that is not all.

The Saintly Army of Jews must also work out beforehand a good psychological profile of Mr. Dyab in order to assess the possibility of him spilling the beans about the strike. Otherwise, well, the whole exercise will be pointless. So the ‘algorithm’ for calculating the timing has to take this as well into account.

For example, allow for measures which must immediately be taken (like cutting Mr. Dyab’s telephone line off instantly after the call) to ensure that he keeps this information minimally to himself and for fleeing purposes, and no more.

But that is not all. What if Mrs. Dyab’s sick mom is visiting who is old, sickly and has movement problems? Here, a coefficient must be built into the time calculating algorithm –the ‘Visiting Sick Mother in Law Factor’- to assess, say, the ages of the kids, their availability at the time of the proposed warning  and their relative strengths to carry good old Grandma to the safe point near the souk, all in good time before the coming strike.

Is that all? Of course not!

Mr. Deyab and his family will be homeless and without shelter after the air strike so, he is bound to have a quick mad run in order to gather what valuables he can get hold of before fleeing his home for good.  So, yet another coefficient has to be built into the algorithm: the ‘Where the Heck is My Wallet’ factor. Accurate intelligence has to be gathered beforehand in order to take account of this very real and human problem.

I am sure with a little bit more contemplation, any reasonable minded person can work out for him/herself the sheer amount of sincere, silent but titanic effort that has been put by the Army of the Jewish State into ensuring the safety and the subsequent long and happy life of Palestinian civilians before, during and after air strikes which, regrettably, destroy their homes, villages and cities, but make the world in general and Gaza in particular, a better place to live in ….

After blabbing on rather boringly and irrelevantly about his days as a correspondent on the Syrian borders some donkeys’ years ago, and after going from there on to blackballing the Breaking the Silence group of soldiers of the Army of the Jewish State, Haber comes to the main statement of his piece of Zionist wisdom, “cruel” as it may be: that civilians die in war because

 ”IDF soldiers seek to safeguard their own lives, and their own lives are more important to them than the lives of others.”

‘Others’ here mean, presumably, and only as an example, the 6500 or so civilian ‘devils ’who were killed and wounded in the space of three weeks by the Saints of the  Jewish Army in the ‘Cast Lead’ offensive on Gaza, last December / January, at the cost of a couple of Saints or so.

Not content with dishing out only wisdom to his readers, he goes on to enlighten his Zionist crowd with truth, the truth, about cases of civilian deaths by this Jewish Army of Saints:

“The IDF, and that’s the truth, examines each and every such case, draws conclusions, and at times punishes more severely than other armies in the world. When one of these days we’ll gain access, for example, to the tales of the US Army in Iraq, it will turn out that compared to it the IDF was like a monastery inhabited by saints.”

 Well, Mr. Haber …..there is one saint in your Army by the name of Captain (Now Major) R who happened to empty the magazine of his M16 in the body of an already wounded 13 years old Palestinian girl, which Captain received the ‘severe’ punishment of 85,000 shekels in compensation plus a promotion to the rank of Major for his saintly deed.

Yes, one of these days, we will have access to the tales of the US Army in Iraq someday, but we already have  good access to horrific child-killing tales of the Army of the Jewish State and of that little bit of ‘extra care and attention’ which its ‘Saints’ employ when dealing with Palestinian civilians and in particular children, which make the bones of every Saint that ever lived rattle in their graves.

 One of these days peace and freedom and justice will rule in Palestine, that day will be made by, not in a small part, people like Breaking the Silence no matter how hard Zionut spin doctors like Haber try to push it further away.

Finally ..Mr. Haber reminds us:

It’s a good thing that we are talking, that we are drawing conclusions and learning lessons, and that we are investigating and indicting, and punishing. However, we need to say this to ourselves: The life of an IDF soldier is immeasurably worthier than the life of an innocent victim, whose death we should genuinely regret.

‘Immeasurably worthier’, no less!
Yes….the families of these dead children and …Jilad Shalit will be happy to read this, won’t they…?
